27th January 2024 – Day 1

Meeting Point: 3 am, VIE Terminal

Departure from Vienna: 6:50 am

Arrival in London: 8:15 am

  1. From the airport we first went to the hostel to check in + drop off our suitcases
  2. First, we explored Notting Hill – Portobello Road Market
  3. We walked through the hide Park to Kensington Palace/Garden
  4. Next, we passed by the Albert Memorial, the Victoria Albert Museum and Royal Albert Hall
  5. Finally, we went to Harrods to eat/ go shopping.
  6. Afterwards we went back to the hostel to check into our rooms.

 

My opinion:

For the first day it was very exhausting, because we’ve been awake since 3 o’clock. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the day very much and had a lot of fun admiring the various sights. I liked Portobello Market and Hyde Park the most.

 

Day 2

  1. After a good breakfast, we started at 10 a.m. in the direction of Hyde Park to the Peter Pan statue.
  2. Afterwards we watched changing the guards at Buckingham Palace
  3. The 3rd point on the plan was Big Ben and the London Eye
  4. Afterwards we visited the National Gallery, the national Portrait gallery and convent garden.
  5. The last one, was a visit to the well-known „musical“ „Magic Mike“

 

My opinion:

Of all the days, I think I liked this one the most. From culture to art to a Magic Mike show, everything was there. There was nothing I didn’t like, but the „musical“ was still the highlight.

 

Day 3

  1. This time we started at 9:45 a.m. and went to the Sky Garden
  2. The next attraction was the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge
  3. At about 1 p.m. we admired the art at Tate Modern
  4. The penultimate stop of the day was the famous British Museum
  5. The very last view of London was Oxford Street

 

My opinion:

I also liked the 3rd day very much. It was a bit more exhausting, and the weather wasn’t as good as usual, but it was still a successful last day in London. My favourite sight this time was Tower Bridge and Oxford Street.

 

30th January 2024 – Day 4

  1. After we checked out at 10 am, we went directly to the airport by subway.
  2. After all passport controls and security checks, we still had about 2 hours to eat or go shopping.
  3. After a relaxed and even more punctual flight, we got our bags and said goodbye afterwards.
